The Requirements
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for this opportunity, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar discipline
- 5-8 years of business analytics experience; knowledge of Power BI is a plus
- Advanced SQL programming experience
- Strong background developing BI applications with large-scale deployment
- Experience with SQL Azure and cloud technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX or another Tier 1 ERP system (SAP or Oracle) Quick question for you - click here
- Strong experience in current software engineering and solution delivery methodologies
- Interpersonal finesse with strong oral and written communications skills to interact with diverse stakeholders; strong ability to build consensus and influence others
- Experience working both independently and, in a team oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to work well in a dynamic, high velocity environment
- Ability to travel about 10%
- Experience with Consumer Goods or Logistics industry with global operations is preferred
- Previous Consulting experience is a plus

The Role
This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Global Business Systems Manager with a dotted line to the CIO.
As you come on board your main focus is to:
- Lead Power BI reporting/analytics
- Support Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX from an analytics/reporting perspective so our Sales/Marketing functions have these applications at their fingertips
- As the system matures, integrate trends from Google Analytics, Salesforce and social media marketing to help us finesse our market positioning
Your mission is to leverage the Microsoft platforms to plan, design, code, test, debug, configure and document business intelligence application systems and/or data warehouse solutions. We will look to you to understand the business process flow, involved applications and data flow for the end-to-end process. Specifically, your responsibilities will be to:
- Work with key business stakeholders to determine various KPIs and data reporting needs for various levels
- Gather requirements for building external and internal data dashboards; interface with vendors and customer to understand data needs
- Work with technical teams to understand required ETL activities to support the reporting requirements
- Build and maintain data models and data dictionaries to support self-service BI solutions
- Work with teams to transition from one BI solution to another, working with functional teams to find and resolve gaps
- Work with applications, master data management and development teams to understand data flow and data ownership
- Design, develop, and support Microsoft Power BI content including reports, cubes, packages, dashboards, and presentation portals
- Work with cross-functional team members to recommend technical solutions that present data in an efficient and meaningful way to our digital, sales, finance, and operations teams
- Work with Business Analyst/Systems Analyst to estimate new system issues and drive resolution efforts
- Understand various roles and responsibilities in business groups for better data governance and data security with Power BI and other Business Systems
- Present senior leadership with key decision-making insights and opportunities
- Present information in one-on-one and small groups to customers and other employees
- Adhere to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
